Beneath the glow of a Strawberry Moon, Alison Guerini passed peacefully on Friday, June 21 with her family by her side. Growing up on Harbor Avenue, Alison enjoyed and was privileged to be surrounded by many cousins and family during her childhood. She was a 1998 graduate of Harbor High School. She then attended Kent State University, The Ohio State University, and graduated from Mount Carmel College of Nursing with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Beginning her career in the cardiac stepdown unit at The Cleveland Clinic, Alison loved being a nurse and taking care of her patients. Later she moved to Chicago as a Travel Nurse working at the University of Chicago Medical Center and at other hospitals in the Chicagoland area. When not working, Alison loved spending time with her family, exploring the city, going to new restaurants, Cubs games, and spending time with her friends.
