Donald J. Micco of Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH, age 96 passed away 01/22/2025 at Meadow Falls of Saybrook. He was born 05/04/1928 in Cleveland, OH to the late James and Muriel (Boyd) Micco. He married Dorothy M. Kerr on 05/02/1981 in Madison, OH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving over 30 years in the regular Navy during WWII, Korea, Vietnam as Gunnersmate/Nuclear Weapons Technician First Class, from 1945 to 1975. Serving on 8 naval vessels and 10 shore stations. He was picked to make the WWII Honor flight to Washington, DC in 2009.
His hobbies were painting and music, a drummer in many bands both in the service and after his retirement from the Navy and was in the Remember When Band and also played with the Porter Fun Bunch and Thunder Creek Band. He was a school bus driver from 1977 to 1993 in Madison, OH and Deepwood Center in Mentor, OH.
