Albert "Bud" L. Wright, Sr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 24, 2025. Born in Conneaut, Ohio on November 14, 1949, to parents Albert and Beverly (Meyers) Wright, Bud remained a long-time resident of Conneaut. He married his high school sweetheart, Karen (Peters) Wright, on August 4, 1969. The pair spent four years in St. Petersburg, FL., where Bud was stationed in the United States Coast Guard. It was here that they welcomed their son, Albert L. Wright Jr. before moving back to Conneaut. There, Bud and Karen welcomed their daughter Brandy (Wright) Bartos.
Bud was a beloved and active member of each of his communities. He spent many hours coaching at the Conneaut Local Youth Organization (CYLO) and supporting the organization. For 20 years, Bud owned and operated a floor covering business in Conneaut. Relocating to Columbus in 2005, Bud was able to cheer on his beloved Buckeyes up close and personal.
