Jimmie Laughlin
JEFFERSON - Jimmie Duane Laughlin, 68, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at U.H. Lake West Medical Center, Willoughby, Ohio.
He was born on May 26, 1956, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Robert and Helen (Hammond) Laughlin.
Jimmie was a member of the Ashtabula High School Class of 1974, where he excelled at several sports. Sports remained a huge part of Jimmie's life. He was a member of the Cleveland Competitors Professional Softball Team for many years. It was part of the American Professional Slo-Pitch Softball League; the team was owned by the former Cleveland Cavaliers owner Ted Stepien. Locally he played on many great teams including the Spot Café and the Gallery to name a few.
He was a very hard worker and was a past member of the Laborers Union #310, working for many years for Baker Construction and Short Concrete Company.
