Dale James Fink, known affectionately as Papa Dale to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Geneva, Ohio, on March 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 8, 1946, Dale was a man whose life was defined by his devotion to his family, his country, and his love for working with his hands.
Dale's journey began as the beloved son of Dorothy and Gerald Fink, both of whom preceded him in death. His life was enriched by the love of his late wife, Jean Fink, whom he married on June 9, 1973, and who was his partner in all things until her passing. Together, they raised a family that would be Dale's pride and joy: daughters Cindy Player (married to Charles) and Dalene Lewis. He was a cherished grandfather to Tiana Gilbert, LaKesha Gilbert, Courtney Barber (married to Billy), Alex Davisson (married to Tori), and Kyle Davisson. The joy of his later years was multiplied by the arrival of his great-grandsons, William and Charlie Barber.
