David A.E. Smith, age 44, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on March 18th, 2025, after a long illness. David worked as a Cosmetologist for many years in various shops throughout Ashtabula County. Following his retirement from Cosmetology, he pursued a career as a truck driver until he no longer could due to his illness. David is survived by his Aunt Nancy Malnar, sisters Marie Schulz of Ashtabula, and Alison Smith of Pennsylvania, and his several step-siblings. He is preceded in death by his mother, Delta Kaye Smith, Father David Arthur Smith, brother Addison Lee Smith, and his pet bunny known as Bunn Bunn. David will be remembered fondly by his care crew and friends, Kim Kirk, Missy Jackson, Jackson Green, Kim Miller, Jen (Salona) Tringhese, and many more.
