Beloved patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Robert B. “Bob” Marcy, 87, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at UH Cleveland. He was born April 14, 1937 in Conneaut, the son of Robert C. and Geraldine (Atwater) Marcy.He was a 1955 graduate of Conneaut High School and served with the Army National Guard from 1960-1965. While serving, he attended Grove City College in Grove City, PA, and the Cincinnati College of Embalming. He received his Embalmer’s and Funeral Director’s licenses in 1961. In 1963 he attended the National Foundation of Funeral Service’s School of Management in Evanston, IL.Bob was the fourth-generation funeral director of the Marcy Funeral Home which was established in 1868. He proudly served Conneaut most of his life, starting when he was 6 years old. The family business began in 1868 with the ambulance and monument shop.
